Introducing Contentstack's open-source app initiative

We're thrilled to announce that the Open Source Initiative is officially live at Contentstack! Developers can now create, share, and maintain high-quality custom Contentstack apps and utility libraries, accelerating time-to-value for everyone.

What we've launched

We've already shipped our first batch of apps to GitHub, and these aren't just basic repos; they're secure, production-ready, and community-friendly projects designed to meet the highest standards of modern software development. Each open-sourced app has been carefully crafted to provide developers with a reliable foundation for building on the Contentstack platform.

Each open-sourced app comes with:

• Security scans and Snyk certification , ensuring that every application is protected against known vulnerabilities and follows industry best practices for secure coding
• Modern tech stack (CRA → Vite migrations), leveraging cutting-edge build tools that significantly improve development speed, bundle size, and overall performance.
• Complete documentation (README, License, Security.md, CODEOWNERS), providing clear guidance on installation, usage, security policies, and contribution guidelines to make onboarding seamless for new contributors.
• GitHub workflows, tests, and end-to-end testing are baked in, automating quality assurance processes and ensuring that every code change is thoroughly validated before deployment.
